Automated surface preparation and painting for corrugated industrial structures
We operate large industrial structures with corrugated outer surfaces for which we currently build scaffolding before we can blast and paint them.
Recent advances in the use of robots and drones to blast and paint have reduced the need to build scaffolding for some structures, for example on the exterior, smooth surfaces of storage tanks.
We are looking for ways to reduce OPEX for blasting and painting for more challenging structures such as corrugated outer surfaces.
Requirements include consistent coating coverage and safe execution in an operational plant.
We recognize that fully integrated solutions may not yet exist and we are also interested in learning about technologies that are able to solve part of the puzzle to reduce the overall cost of blasting and painting our structures.
